Fall 2017 Edition of The Deep End:

The Deep End is now accepting submissions for its Fall 2017 issue.  The deadline for submissions for this issue is Wednesday, November 15th at 3:00 p.m.

The Deep End welcomes submissions from any student currently enrolled at The Woodstock Academy.  Original pieces of iterature, art, and music are all welcomed and encouraged and there is no limit to the number of pieces that you may submit.

Submission Guidelines:

We encourage students to submit as many pieces of literature, artwork and music as they would like. The following are some examples of the types of submission we encourage and the guidelines for each category:

  • Literature: fiction and non-fiction, including short stories, flash fiction, poetry, essays, memoirs and book reviews.  All writing should be submitted in 12-point type, with one inch margins and sequentially numbered pages.  Fiction and non-fiction should be double-spaced and poetry should be single-spaced.  Writing should be submitted as a .doc, .docx, or a pdf file.
  • Art: drawing, painting, photography, photo essays.  Artwork should be submitted as a .jpeg file
  • Music: original pieces of music of any type between one and five minutes long.  All music should be submitted as an .mp3 file.

Once the staff has reviewed all submissions you will receive an email with their decision.

Please fill out the form below and attach your writing, artwork or music according to the above guidelines. Please note that if your music submission file won’t attach because it is too large, then please email your mp3 or mp4 file directly to Mrs. Beck: mbeck@woodstockacademy.org.  If you need help or have any questions please contact thedeepend@woodstockacademy.org:
